Somis Boer Goats strives for quality goats.We have a small,disease-free herd of ABGA registered full-blood Boers and a couple of non-registered percentage boers owned by Arthur Garnica.
Located in Somis, California (Ventura County), we have beautiful weather all year long ranging from high 90's in the summer to the mid 30's in the winter. Situated between orchards of mostly avocado and lemon orchards, our goats breathe healthy, clean air. We are about 45 minutes from Los Angeles and about an 1 hour away from Santa Barbara.
We have our goats in a fenced in, secure property. Even so, we have a Brazilian Mastiff, Great Pyrenees, Australian Cattle Dog, and a Golden Retriever :) on guard to protect them. One of the biggest dangers in our area are the seasonal wildfires which occur so we have an evacuation plan in place as well as bare ground around each individual pen.
I will be expanding each year with more goats -especially show quality- along with many more for sale. Come back and visit my website often; I will try to update it weekly. Thanks and I hope you enjoy my site.
